One of the reasons Rachel selected the B-Low The Belt Camille Wrap belt–aside from it’s gleaming gold toned buckle–is it’s incredible versatility. Thanks to the sliding buckle, you can literally wear it at any size, meaning it can be styled around your waist, your hips and over any number of layers. To kick off our #AskRachelZoe series, we asked Rachel to share a variety of ways to tie it over a multitude of different ensembles, answering the age old question of how to tie a belt.
“Keep the buckle loops together and pull the length of the belt through the loops to your desired tightness. Once you reach the level of cinching you’re looking for, loop the end of the belt back through just one of the buckle rings to tighten. (If you loop through the ring a second time before tightening fully it will take a lot of muscle to move it because the belt is designed to stay put once you double loop it!) Loop the end of the belt over the top of the waistband next to the buckle and pull through underneath. Allow it to hang straight down or angle slightly to the side for an effortless result.”
“Again, keep the buckle loops together and pull the length of the belt through the loops to your desired tightness. Once you get it tight enough, loop the end of the belt back through just one of the buckle rings to secure it. Take the end of the belt and wrap it around your waist, tucking the last three inches into the waistband of the belt by threading from top to bottom. This keeps the end from flapping around and causing a bulge under a jacket or cardigan.”
“Secure the belt to your desired tightness again. Next, make a loop by using the loose end of the belt down then up under the belt waistband so it is hanging over the top. Thread the end through the resulting loop and pull down sharply to tighten. If you prefer not to have it hanging straight down, you can also style it off to the side by angling the end of the belt before tightening the loop knot.”
